For the first time EVER, people can now OWN a digital asset, thanks to blockchain technologies. This technological revolution has opened a new spectrum to sell licensed digital material across a new medium. Currently the digital collectable space only offers no verifiable ownership of digital collectables - and by ownership we mean the same way you can walk into your favourite comic or hobby shop and buy a rare collectable that belongs to you. In the same way the internet paved the way for websites, and smartphones paved the way for apps, this new blockchain technology has created a new platform for digital collectables with ownership rights.

ECOMI Collect technology allows for the ownership, and transfer, of digital collectables, as well as protecting digital collectables using a hardware card:

ECOMI uses a new autonomous digital ledger technology called ‘blockchain’ to maintain a transparent and immutable ledger of ownership
Each entry in the ledger records the details of the digital collectable, such as the providence, creation, previous ownership, current ownership, and more.
ECOMI Augmented Reality technology allows users to ‘see’ their collectables in the real-world via their smartphone.
ECOMI Collect users can use the ECOMI hardware card - A credit-card size physical hardware card that can securely store the ownership offline, and away from potential cyber-criminals.

That's where the ECOMI digital wallet comes in.

The ECOMI digital wallet is the size of a credit card and wirelessly connects to the ECOMI Collect app and allows collectors to store the ownership rights to their digital collectables on this offline hardware device. The digital wallet comes standard with full backup features, so if it gets lost the contents can easily be restored.

ECOMI intends to release ranges of limited edition, collectable, digital wallets with our license partners. This brings the tradition of collecting and trading cards full circle, but this time the 'card' is a high-tech digital wallet.
